Convenience -  As a stand-alone product, we have not seen another service that combines the myriad demands of teaching spoken language as simply and effectively as Juna. Switch easily between rhythm practice, phonics, phoneme lessons, listening comprehension quizzes and a search function that provides on-the-spot pronunciation guidance for any word in the dictionary.

Unique content - Juna has a number of product features you won't find elsewhere, like our custom animations showing how sounds are made inside the mouth, natural-sounding practice sentences that are designed to isolate target sounds, and custom voice-to-text feedback that is designed to encourage learners instead of punish them. To dive a little deeper into this particular choice, other tools often put a score that says "you got this word 58% right" but we think that is arbitrary. How to respond to a given speech error is a complex judgement best left to the teacher. In Juna, we have loosened the threshold for recognition in standard voice-to-text, and opted for a simple red / green response that indicates general confidence from the AI about whether or not the uttered word is intelligible.
